New China national men’s basketball participated in all Olympic Games since the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Until the men’s basketball World Cup in 2019, China men’s basketball missed the Tokyo Olympics because it failed to achieve the best results in Asia. As a member of the team, he once helped Yugoslavia team win the silver medal in the 1996 Olympic Games and the 1998 World Championship. As a coach, he coached the Serbian national team from 2013 to 2019 and won the runner-up of the men’s basketball World Cup in 2014 and the silver medal of the 2016 Olympic Games.

China men’s basketball is the first Asian team he coached.
