Nike co-founder talks about Owen: he stepped over the border and terminated the cooperation. In my opinion, there is no problem at all.
Live broadcast on November 11 news when Nike co-founder Phil Knight was interviewed by CNBC recently, he talked about Owen, who was banned by basketable nets for anti-Semitic behavior and who suspended cooperation with him.
“Carey stepped across the border, that’s all. He said something that we couldn’t accept, which was the reason why we terminated our cooperation with him. I think it was absolutely fine. I doubt whether our relationship can be repaired, but I am not sure.” Knight said.
Knight also said that when Nike chooses athletes to cooperate with it, it considers not only their achievements on the field, but also their character.
